Our Story
Beyond The Bedside was born from a personal journey rooted in compassion and family. When our founder, a Registered Nurse with more than 18 years of experience, supported her father through a vascular dementia diagnosis at the age of 55, she discovered that true care extends far beyond clinical walls. Helping her family navigate the healthcare system while providing daily care at home inspired her to create a service that uplifts families with dignity, respect, and unwavering support.
Since 2017, Beyond The Bedside has remained committed to its mission: to educate, empower, and enrich the lives of every family we serve. Today, we proudly provide comprehensive in-home services across Central Virginia, including Consumer-Directed Service Facilitation, Agency-Directed Care, and skilled and non-skilled support.
We are honored to serve Virginia Medicaid CCC Plus and DD Waiver participants as well as private pay clients, ensuring that individuals and families receive the personalized care they need to thrive. At Beyond The Bedside, every care plan is tailored to meet unique needs, improve quality of life, and create opportunities for success at home and within the community.
